[Daisy isn’t sure if he would’ve so openly admitted to that without the truth serum, but she knows he means it. Beaming up at him, Daisy raises a hand to cup the side of his face.]
[He might have said it even without. What they have is still new enough that he's not always sure how best to put words to it, but at the same time, he wouldn't be here with her, arm around her shoulders while he's recovering from the effects of the drug if he didn't absolutely trust her, and that trust isn't something he places in others easily.
She cups his face and he kisses her again, this time on the lips after a bit of slouching downward to manage it. The movie in the background barely registers.]
Mind if I stay over tonight?
[Maybe it was assumed he was going to as it's already pretty late, but he feels like he should ask.]
[Smiling against his lips, Daisy keeps her hand on his face even when he pulls back to ask her about staying the night.]

[In all honesty, Daisy isn’t a fan of living alone. Not after living on a base in varying capacities for years on end. So the idea that she’d wake up to someone else here? Especially him? She’d love that. Reaching up with her other hand, she brushes his hair out of his eyes.]
Better. Head's a lot better. The truth part, I dunno. I haven't exactly had anything to lie about. I feel normal, though.
[Does that mean it's gone, finally? Hard to be sure, but at least it must be on its way out.
He slumps down low on the couch, feet extending outward, until he's able to lean his head against Daisy's. There, that's... well, not perfectly comfortable considering he might slip all the rest of the way off the couch any second, but he's doing his best on furniture simply not built for someone his height.]
[That kiss makes him smile more, he can't help it. Being around her is just better than not, it's that simple.]
Well, we'll have to work out who's responsible. But I have a copy of their guest list, so at least we can sort through names, weed out the unlikely ones.
["We" meaning more him and his commanding officer, but... Well, hell. Daisy's in on this too, now, and she's as effective as anyone he knows.]

[There's a chuckle, low and under his breath, but she'll definitely feel it through his chest.
And it has been a long night, too, hasn't it. As the movie wraps up, he's content to just cuddle like this for now and definitely starts to doze off. She makes him feel safe, and it's a welcome feeling.]
