[Daylight is naive, or that's his impression anyway from the eager offer of friendship. Naivety can be dangerous when hard decisions have to be made, and he can see some very difficult ones coming up centered around the sorts of things Will knows. He'll have to read over this conversation again several times to get everything out of it. Is that plug-pulling metaphorical or not? If not, what would that mean for them? What is a firewall and how does that relate to all of this?

But ultimately, what he sees is that Will has found himself a way to survive the Keeper's resets, and hasn't shared that information with anyone in an attempt to save his own skin, and Rosinante can't help but be sympathetic to that. Because he's right, if what they've been told is true. Ultimately, if there's to be any life on this world, then the resets have to happen to throw off the World Eaters, and that only works if the lanterns can be snuffed out. If everyone can cheat and survive, then they'll all die.

But someone who wants everyone to have an equal chance to survive a reset may not agree that this information should be kept quiet. Coraline is just as big a potential problem. And Jason... who is that?]

We all need to be on the same page with what to do with this information. It can't spread any further, not yet. And we need to keep Will safe. What did Coraline and Jason have to say about this?

[ while he doesn't need just yet, daylight doesn't seem to disagree with the idea of everyone being in agreement of what to do next. he doesn't like to fight with his friends and he is a big believer of working together. he just- seems very adverse to the thought of keeping this away from the larger public. it might be a simple case of stubborn ideology at work here.

when asked about the others' reactions, daylight needs some time to think about his conversations with coraline and jason. he's still got to talk to jason after this, though they did speak in the past when day got the idea to look at winters' belongings. he and coraline definitely had a chat since she was the first one to come to mind after he read through the tablet's contents. ]

... Well. I'll still need to talk with Jason but the last time we talked about this- [ daylight tilts his helm to the side, trying to remember the conversation. ] Jason said if I ever needed help with the tablet, like if it was locked or something, then I could go to him. He said he's good at hacking.

[ that tidbit about jason is what had been on day's mind when scouring through the room since daylight recalled winters keeping his tablet locked. which made the fact the tablet was unlocked upon powering it up very surprising to daylight. it doesn't take that long for a tablet to become idle and sleep, right? ]

Hopefully good at keeping quiet, too. This information is going to be divisive if people get wind of it, and hurts all our chances. Can you contact the others? We should all meet.

[Which is no guarantee they'll all agree, and no guarantee any decisions made at such a meeting will be followed by those few present. But it still strikes him as more helpful than not. He wants to meet this Jason fellow, and wants to make sure Coraline and Daylight both understand why this can't be spread. Not yet, anyway.

They probably shouldn't tell Will either, and that's a shame. Rosinante would like to know more from his point of view. But telling Will would tip him off that there are those among the group with skills similar to his own when it comes to pulling hidden information off the tablets, and that doesn't seem advantageous. Being underestimated is more likely to pay off.]

I mean- I could try.

[ daylight seems a little unsure about the idea of them all meeting up for some reason.

which is strange for him, he knows. he's usually gunho about people teaming up and putting their heads together but- he has a feeling one or two might not... hm. he's not sure how to describe his caution so he just... focuses on something else for the time being. ]

Well- I definitely know Coraline and Riku would be willing to talk about this if you bring it up with them. [ jason, on the other hand, is... hrm. a wildcard, is perhaps the nicest way to say it. so daylight doesn't say anything about that for now. but he does trust jason! he'll do something with the information, he knows it. ]

But I'll try to see if we can have a meet up soon. I know we're all busy with other things and... I don't want us to feel overwhelmed by things, you know? Especially with how the world seems to like to... you know... do stuff.

[ weird stuff, if his drift is caught. ]

Meeting everyone individually is a good way to get messages mixed somewhere along the way. It's important we meet face to face. You don't need to make excuses.

[And he's firm on that. Not overly harsh though, since Daylight did just say he'll try, and if Daylight ends up flaking, he'll track the rest down himself. Coraline and Riku will indeed be easy enough, but Daylight's reluctance regarding Jason is concerning as that's still the one person he doesn't know.]

[ daylight winces at the blunt truth is pointed out to him. all the while trying to make himself small as his winglets hitch up and then fold back in apology. ]

Okay- Alright- I get it. [ he swears he gets it. he really does.

but, all the same, he tries to make himself even smaller which is. kind of hysterical (and silly) to look at between the pair. ] I'll try to contact the others and see if we can all meet up. I promise.

[Silly maybe, that shrinking, but given Rosinante's own habits of slouching, and sitting to talk to others, he gets it. Being the big, strong, imposing one isn't always how he actually feels inside, even if it's not wrong.

He gives a nod at that promise.]

Thank you. For that, and for the information. I just want us to do the right thing with it. Oh, and... if it's possible, try not to use the tablets to say anything specific about this to them. Just say you want to meet. Or find them in person. I don't know how much Robin or Will can read on these so it's better to be extra careful.
